After days of teasing via various social media outlets Ubisoft have finally revealed the latest entry in the Assassin’s Creed series – Assassin’s Creed 2.3 Brotherhood & Half or to give it it’s retail title: Assassin’s Creed Revelations. Release in November this year, Revelations will once again follow the adventures of everyones favourite Assassino, Ezio Auditore. In the thrilling conclusion to the ‘always planned’ Ezio Trilogy. Here’s the a snippet of the Press Release from Ubisoft:

“In Assassin’s Creed Revelations, master assassin Ezio Auditore walks in the footsteps of his legendary mentor, Altaïr, on a journey of discovery and revelation. It is a perilous path – one that will take Ezio to Constantinople, the heart of the Ottoman Empire, where a growing army of Templars threatens to destabilize the region.

In addition to Ezio’s award-winning story, the acclaimed online multiplayer experience returns, refined and expanded, with more modes, more maps and more characters that allow players to test their assassin skills against others from around the world. The latest chapter in the Assassin’s Creed saga also includes revolutionary gameplay, allowing players to manipulate the construct of Desmond’s memories and the Animus to decipher the mysteries of his past and gain insight into the future.

“Delivering the final chapter of the Ezio trilogy is an important milestone in the Assassin’s Creed franchise for us and for our fans,” said Alexandre Amancio, Creative Director at Ubisoft Montreal. “Assassin’s Creed Revelations includes lots of new features and some significant surprises. We can’t wait to show our fans what we have in store at E3 this year.”

As well as an expanded Multiplayer element (first introduced in Brotherhood) and a new location for Ezio to sneak around in. Revelations is also rumored to feature sections in which the player once again takes control of the series original poster boy Altaïr. Whilst we’re excited for a new Assassin’s Creed title here at PlayStationer Towers, we can’t help being a little disappointed. As much fun as it is jumping off building and stabbing folk in the neck as Ezio, we would like to see a new Assassin step forward.

The possibilities are endless as proven by Ubisoft themselves, remember the female Assassin statue, clad in Egyptian attire from the Altaïr Crypt? Or how about Russian-based comic book series, Assassin’s Creed The Fall? Either way we’re sure Revelations will be as much fun as previous titles. We live in hope that one day Ubisoft will fulfill our dreams and release an Assassin’s Creed Fitness Game – Assassin’s Creed Animus Trainer. (If Ubisoft are reading this I have ideas call me ^Ad)
