The reveals keep on coming this week, today it’s the turn of WB Games. Who’ve revealed via a Twitter post that the first 3 Mortal Kombat arcade classics – Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat 2 and Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 will be bundled together into a single downloadable collection, sorry kollection, that’ll be available to download via the PlayStation Network in “late summer 2011”

As well as being “arcade-prefect” ports of the originals, new features such as Trophies, leaderboards and online play will also be included. Much like the PlayStation Classics HD range of titles the ports are being handled by an outside company, Other Ocean in conjunction with recently released Mortal Kombat reboot developer, NetherRealm.

In the US, Warner Brothers Games have also licensed an official Mortal Kombat Klassic Fight Stick, that will feature a button layout similar to that of the arcade cabinets. Those who have a $129.99 to buy one of these Arcade Sticks will be treated to a voucher allowing them to download the Klassic Kollection at no extra cost. No word yet if the UK will be treated to a similar deal.

The Mortal Kombat Arcade Klassic Kollection was originally intended to be a budget retail release, as a number of online retailers had it listed late last year. But todays announcement sees it become download only. Which is better as you can expect to pay around £9.99 when it’s released later this year. Call us krazy with a K but that’s a bargain.
