Many people will still be trolling the seedy streets of Los Angeles in Rockstar Games incredible L.A. Noire. Be it still working a Desk or mopping up the last few Trophies, L.A. Noire has been in most PlayStationers PS3s since it came out on May 20th and Rockstar plan on keeping in there a little longer with the announcement of the Rockstar Pass. First revealed via an Xbox related slip up prior to the games release, many believed the Rockstar Pass would be Rockstar’s take on EA’s Online Pass. But as copies of L.A Noire didn’t contain any sort of code and it doesn’t have any online play, it soon became apparent this wasn’t the case.

Well the search for clues is finally over as Rockstar have revealed exactly what the Rockstar Pass is,along with additional DLC Cases and their full release schedule. As soon as the PlayStation Store in fully operational you’ll be able to get your virtual hands on these:

  • “Chicago Lightning” Detective Suit (Free via the Social Club)
  • “Chicago Piano” Machine Gun (Free)
  • L.A. Noire Rockstar Pass (Discounted)
  • “The Naked City” Vice Desk Case
  • “A Slip of The Tongue” Traffic Desk Case
  • The Badge Pursuit Challenge
  • “The Broderick” Detective Suit
  • “The Sharpshooter” Detective Suit

These are all the Retailer Exclusive Pre-order items and cases. UK pricing revealed but expect to pay around 79p – 99p for the suits and £3.99 for the extra Cases. The Rockstar Pass will also be available to purchase for around £9.99, this will increase to £14.99 mid-June and not only will you be able to download all of the above items at a discounted price, you’ll also get to download the following two additional Cases once the become available on the PlayStation Store.

  • * “Reefer Madness” Vice Desk Case

Expect both Cases to cost around £3.99 when purchased separately and if you choose to go for the Rockstar Pass they will of course be free to download. Rockstar are billing this as “a new way to pre-order and purchase DLC” it’s certainly a unique way of selling additional content and a pretty good deal if you buy the Pass early at the discounted price.
