At this years annual GamesCom event in Cologne, Sony are expected to announce a price drop for the Playstation 3 from £230 to £179.99. This price drop will most deffinatley have many advantages for Sony as it will bring the bar closer to level with the competition and may no longer be known as ‘the expensive one’. Microsoft are going to have to act fast if Sony do decide to go ahead with this. I believe this would be an excellent move for Sony as we all truly know that the PS3 is the best system, and is still not even halfway through its life span. Could we see another PS2 style success? God I hope so.
