If the Uncharted 3 Beta has taught us anything, it’s that PlayStation owners love a good Beta. So get ready because this August EU PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to join the resistance and try out the Resistance 3 multiplayer before anyone else. The Beta will be available to download from the PlayStation Store on August 10th, with a fully open Beta following at a later date.

The Beta will feature 2 maps, one of which is based in Wales, which is a nice little nod to the unique setting of the first Resistance game. Two modes will be playable during the Beta, with players being able to level up to the capped limit of 20. It should provide a nice little taster of what to expect from Resistance 3’s improved multiplayer mode, ahead of the games release in September. We’ve sampled the a small piece of the single player game and if that’s anything to go by, the improved control and additional weaponry should  bode well for the multiplayer side of things.
