That is correct, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe officially announced today that PlayStation Vita would be partnering up with its preferred network, that being Vodafone. SCEE ( Sony Computer Entertainment Europe ) & Vodafone have partnered up for its 3G connectivity for the following countries:

  • United Kingdom
  • Ireland
  • Italy 
  • Germany 
  • Spain
  • Portugal
  • Australia
  • New Zealand
  • France < ( Vodafone’s Partner in France SFR ( Société Française de Radiotéléphonie ) )

The PlayStation Vita will come with a SIM Card when you purchase the 3G/Wi-Fi model. The device is not SIM Locked, and can be used with other networks. You can purhcase the PlayStation Vita at Vodafone store or online and those connected with Vodafone will get a voucher to download WipEout 2048 from PlayStation Store.
