We’ve all seen the Trailer and started speculating like crazy as to what kind of game this will be, and what great new epic set pieces we can look forward to.

But the Big question on my mind, is how on earth were Naughty Dog able to start producing this game while still working on Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. The Naughty Dog logo was the last thing I expected to see at the start of that trailer.

The Official Press Release gives us a couple of answers.

It turn’s out that for the last year the studio has been split into two teams, “Team Uncharted” and “Team Last of Us”, and it looks like the cream of Naughty Dog’s crop have been part of “Team Last of Us”.

Uncharted 3: Drakes Deception was a great game, there is no doubting that, but my personal favourite still has to be Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and having looked into who’s part of “Team Last of Us”, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves fans have a couple more reasons to be excited.

Bruce Stanley directed Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Neil Druckman was the lead designer and co-writer on Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. Obviously ever single person at Naughty Dog is amazingly talented, you only have to look at the Uncharted series to see that, but from a direction and creation perspective it’s nice to see that, the guy’s behind my favourite Uncharted are behind The Last of Us.
