Harmonix the development company responsible for Dance Central has today announced that they will be making a new Rock Band for the PSN called Blitz.

The new game will support all the previous Rock Band DLC and also include a new 25 song soundtrack.

Much like the previous titles, the game will be set on a multi-lane track with four lanes, which we guess will be guitar, bass, drums and vocals. Although these will all be controlled via a controller and not the previous plastic instruments.

The game is currently in development and will be released later this summer. No details on costs were announced.
