A leaked video from Capcom has today has revealed that Resident Evil 6 will be released in October and not November like it was previously planned.

The new video has the release date down as the 2nd October 2012, that’s seven weeks earlier than its original date of 20th November 2012. It also pushes the game into a already crowed month. October is already due to see Bioshock Infinite and Assassin’s Creed 3 released and Borderlands 2 will be released right at the end of September.

There are numerous rumours and speculations about why Capcom have moved the game but the  strongest ones tend to focus of on it countering Bioshock Infinite which contains horror elements and moving the game away from the standard November release of Call of Duty. Either way October just got fascinating and is becoming a wallet crunching month.
