At gamescom 2013 in Cologne, Germany, We got a hands on preview with Polytron Corporation’s hit indie game FEZ, which was recently ported to the PS Vita.

FEZ is an independent videogame originally published on the Xbox LIVE Arcade. The game follows a character called Gomez who is “a 2D creature living in what he believes is a 2D world”. Using the left and right shoulder buttons on the Vita, players can shift between 4 very different planes. The game is a pure platformer, with no bosses or enemies, just a whole heap of collectable treasures. We are really looking forward to spending more time with Gomez in the future.

There has not been any release dates announced for the title, however it will be heading to Playstation 3, Playstation 4, and Playstation Vita consoles.

The story behind the games creation was featured in the Sundance Film Festival award winning documentary Indie Game : The Movie which can be bought here or can be streamed for free on Netflix. We highly recommend this movie which gives an amazing insight into the games development process.
