Sony have just released a new trailer for the PS Vita exclusive title Tearaway. For those that did not know, Tearaway is a PS Vita title that was made by the creative minds behind PlayStations own LittleBigPlanet.

Media Molecule have utilized every aspect of the Vita from the camera to the rear touch pad. The rear touch pad is used in a very interesting way. While the player guides the character through the levels, you have the possibility to extend into the game in a way that hasn’t been explored on the PS Vita until now.

Using your fingers you can “tear” into the paper world. Pressing your fingers on the touch pad causes fingers to appear in the game that are used for level exploration and progression. Its a unique mechanic and its one that has my attention.

Tearaway is now available in America with a release in Europe on the 22nd of this month.
