After months of speculation and ARG-based teases, Square Enix have announced there will indeed be a Hitman 5. Titled Hitman Absolution, the game will once follow the murderous escapades of the cold blooded assassin – Agent 47, who supposedly has taken on his most dangerous contract to date.<\/p>\n

According to the Hitman YouTube<\/a> page on which a 30 second Teaser trailer was revealed. Agent 47 will be “Betrayed by those he trusted and hunted by the police, he finds himself at the centre of a dark conspiracy and must embark on a personal journey through a corrupt and twisted world, in his search for the truth”<\/p>\n

Little else is known apart from Absolution is being developed by series creator IO Interactive and is being created using an updated version of their Glacier 2 Engine. Expect a in-depth look at Hitman Absolution in next issue of Edge Magazine as well as Square Enix revealing even more details at next month’s E3.
