That’s not all, 2K have also\u00a0announced\u00a0that gamers who pre-order the game through participating\u00a0retailers\u00a0will gain\u00a0access to the Borderlands 2\u00a0Premiere\u00a0\u00a0Club which will give gamers access to special\u00a0weapons\u00a0and unique items for their trek across Pandora.<\/p>\n

2K wrote in their press release that, “Gamers who pre-order\u00a0Borderlands 2\u00a0from participating retailers will gain access to the\u00a0Borderlands 2\u00a0Premiere Club, allowing them to download the Gearbox Gun Pack, a Golden Key and the Vault Hunter\u2019s Relic. The Gearbox Gun Pack is a collection of unique guns to help players begin their journey on Pandora. The Golden Key is an in-game item used to unlock a rare item in the mysterious Golden Sanctuary Loot Chest found in\u00a0Borderlands 2. The Vault Hunter\u2019s Relic is an in-game item that boosts players\u2019 gear-hunting fortune while playing\u00a0solo or teaming up with friends.”<\/em><\/p>\n

They also went on to mention that the game will improve on the original in pretty much every way.<\/p>\n

“<\/em>Borderlands 2 is a passion project, through and through. The result is a sequel that has improved every successful aspect of Borderlands while innovating with an all-new experience.”<\/em><\/p>\n

Borderlands 2 features all-new characters; skills; imaginative, diverse new environments with unique missions and enemies; and more exciting and fun weapons, equipment and loot than ever before. All of these features come together in a story that takes players to the world of Pandora to take down the notorious Handsome Jack and his corrupt Hyperion Corporation as a solo campaign or with up to four cooperative players.<\/em><\/p>\n

<\/em>Sounds exciting and hopefully we’ll get some more information about the game in due course and hopefully at E3 2012. Borderlands was\u00a0personally\u00a0one of my favourite games and a great\u00a0change\u00a0the usual dreary FPS scene.<\/p>\n
