Sony recently announced that Crash Bandicoot has sold 500,000 copies on the PSN in the EU. This shows that the classic game is still as relevant today as it was back in 1996 when it made its debut on the PS one. The top 10 list of classic sales show that the Crash series has dominated the top 5 with Crash Bandicoot in first place, Crash Team Racing in third, Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped in fourth and Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back in fifth.

The loveable box smashing bandicoot currently does not belong to Sony and is owned by Activision. I personally would love to see the series rebooted for PlayStation consoles and hopefully with this outstanding news from Sony we may see this dream become reality.
