Pictures have been released that show off the new User-Interface that will accompany the PS4 on its release this November. The new UI looks to be a metro styled XMB. We already know that the XMB is still present on the PS4,  it was shown off at Gamescom 2013 and we caught a brief glimpse of the familiar XMB in action.Screen-shot-2013-08-20-at-6.11.29-PM

Sony seem to be going by the “If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it” rule with similar approaches taken with the peripherals that accompany the system, namely the DualShock controller which remains largely unchanged 16 years after it was first introduced.

In the images above we also get a look at the PS4’s companion app, a handy little program that will allow you to connect to your PS4, download games, share screenshots, use chat and more, all from your phone or tablet!

The PlayStation 4 is set to release on November 15th (US) and November 29th (EU) with Japan getting the PS4 a little later on, releasing on February 22nd.
