It’s a good day for gaming news folks. Warner Bros. and Rocksteady have announced a new Arkham game. Did I mention Rocksteady? That’s right, while we all enjoyed Arkham Origins, there was something missing, but with Rocksteady back in the development seat I’ve a feeling that missing ingredient is back.

Here’s what to expect from the game:

Batman faces the ultimate threat against the city he is sworn to protect. The Scarecrow returns to unite an impressive roster of super villains, including Penguin, Two-Face and Harley Quinn, to destroy The Dark Knight forever. The game introduces Rocksteady’s uniquely designed version of the Batmobile—drivable for the first time in the franchise. Batman: Arkham Knight offers gamers the ultimate and complete Batman experience as they tear through the streets and soar across the skyline of the entirety of Gotham City.

This game is also being called “the explosive finale to the Arkham trilogy”. So I guess Arkham Origins is being considered a stand alone? Whatever the reason, I’m just glad there’s a new game coming!

Check out the goosebump raising trailer below.

Release date in the USA is pegged for October 17th, which means we can probably expect Arkham Knight to hit shelves in Ireland on the 20th October.
